Who am I?

What a powerful question! One that is constantly evolving.

My career journey started as a clinical nursing student, working alongside the doctor who treated my father's cancer. Even though it was a 3-year pit stop in my life, it had a huge impact on my design skills by strengthening my understanding of individuals' frustrations, hopes, and goals.

Later, I worked in the manufacturing business for almost a decade as an executive assistant. Those years were invaluable and helped me strengthen my organization and time management skills while learning the fast-paced world of business.

My personal time, particularly my involvement in outdoor sports like running, hiking, and biking, has also influenced my approach to design. Engaging in these activities has taught me to push my limits, adapt my skills, and embrace new challenges, which are crucial principles in UX/UI design. Without pushing boundaries, adjusting expectations through iteration, and experimenting with fresh ideas, UX/UI design would be constrained.

These experiences and skills have set a strong foundation for me in design, allowing me to focus on human-centered design, be empathetic, and iterate when necessary. Iteration has been an integral part of my journey, constantly refining, testing, and learning, and has been key to my success.

So who am I?

Why work with me?

  • Working within Constraints:

When it comes to working within constraints, my experience has taught me that breaking down complex projects into smaller, more manageable pieces can lead to more innovative and effective design solutions. By implementing this approach, I can help the team achieve their goals in a more efficient and collaborative manner, improving overall project outcomes and contributing to a positive team dynamic.

  • Staying Organized:

In addition, my strong organizational skills can help the team stay on track, ensuring clear communication and avoiding misunderstandings and confusion. This leads to a more efficient and effective workflow, benefiting the team and ultimately the project.

  • Being Empathetic:

As a naturally empathetic individual, I bring a deep understanding of user struggles and challenges to the UX/UI team. This understanding is crucial in creating successful designs, and by using a user-centered approach, we can create designs that truly resonate with our audience and address their pain points. By incorporating user feedback into the design process, we can craft solutions that are effective, meaningful, and impactful.

Design is messy.
